Program Notes:
This composition is based on material drawn from the hymn, "Fairest Lord Jesus", which is also referred to as "The Crusader's Hymn". German Crusaders are said to have sung this hymn on the way to the holy land. In this way, the piece acknowledges the teams of Holy Cross, who are also known as the Crusaders.
