"Innovation" is the third movement of the Burlington Suite, written for the Halton Band Extravaganza 2014, a special one day music camp for over 500 students in Burlington, Canada. The opening movement, "North Shore Overture", is written by composer David Marlatt, and the second movement, "A World Away", is written by Ryan Meeboer and David Marlatt.
Program Notes:
Innovation is a musical representation of the city of Burlington, Canada moving into the future as an innovative community. As it continues to grow and develop, the city demonstrates its ingenuity through projects such as the Brant Street Pier, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, and the developments to the downtown core.
