Program Notes:

Postcard From England depicts a trek across the English countryside, with its gently rolling hills, pretty rivers, thatched cottages, stately homes, castles and cathedrals. This musical postcard evokes the rich colours of the stone buildings, the mossy green countryside, the quaintness of the villages and the grandeur of the cathedrals. The music moves back and forth between the catchy “walking theme” featuring the low brass, percussion and woodwinds; and the elegant “stately theme” reminiscent of the British brass band sound. There is an optional choir part (that could be played by a synthesizer) to add even more grandeur to the music.
