Program Notes:
Shaped by Time is a short fanfare/overture to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Coledale Public School in Unionville, Canada. The process of writing this piece involved communication with both the director and the students themselves. As themes were written, sound files were sent to the students to listen to and comment on. It was the student interaction which assisted with the form of the piece, some of the instruments to be featured, and even the title!
