Program Notes:

The Shores of Simcoe is a suite of five movements inspired by photographs of scenes from around the town of Keswick. During a series of brainstorming sessions with students in the Grade 10/11/12 music class at Keswick H.S., students generated melodic and rhythmic ideas intended to capture the character or mood of the various scenes. Many of these student motifs were incorporated into the fabric of the composition.
