Program Notes:

Skyline is an impression of Toronto’s cityscape. The piece attempts to synergize a potentially nonsensical mix of ideas in musical terms (anxiousness & coolness, order & chaos, gracefulness & rambunctiousness, etc.), and does this primarily by building upon a basic aesthetic of perpetual motion and increasingly interlocking layers, patterns & textures.
