Program Notes:

This energetic overture was commissioned by a community group located in southwest Ontario, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the band's founding. It is an ensemble ranging in age from 11–81, sometimes with several family members all participating and making music together. There is a single theme that threads throughout the composition, representing the collective enthusiasm and passion of the players over the years who keep the band strong and the music beautiful.
